Diamond & Golden Jubilee Celebration

On the joyful morning of 3rd August, the Sacred Heart Convent, Provincial House, Bandapura, resounded with gratitude and celebration as we (Salesian Sisters of Bangalore Province) gathered to honour the Diamond Jubilee of Sr. Ruby Korah and the Golden Jubilee of Sr. Philomena Fernandez, Sr. Mercy Thomas, Sr. Clara Rayalu, and Benny Peter.

The solemn Thanksgiving Eucharist was the spiritual highlight of the day, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Sivy Koroth, SDB, and concelebrated by a host of priests, all joining in prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of the jubilarians’ dedicated lives of service to God and the Church.

The Mass was deeply moving, marked by heartfelt hymns, a meaningful liturgy, and a homily that reflected on the enduring commitment and missionary zeal of the jubilarians. The sanctuary, adorned beautifully, reflected the reverence and joy of the occasion.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a felicitation program was held to honour the jubilarians. The atmosphere was filled with joy and gratitude as sisters, friends, and well-wishers came forward to express their appreciation and admiration for the tireless work and witness of these women of faith. The program included words of tribute, cultural performances, and the presentation of mementoes to each of the jubilarians.

The event concluded with a fellowship meal, where the spirit of communion and celebration continued around shared tables and warm conversations. It was a moment of grace, remembering years of fidelity, sacrifice, and joy in the service of the Lord.

The entire celebration stood as a testament to the love, commitment, and enduring spirit of the Salesian vocation, embodied so vibrantly by the jubilarians.
