The most awaited day of the Sacred Heart Training Centre arrived on August 16, 2023, after a period of spiritual preparation for almost a month praying for the different batches of the novitiate community members in the past 25 years. It was a memorable twin Jubilee celebration, 25 years of the existence of the Novitiate and the 50 years faithful self- giving to God and His mission by our dear Sr. Pauline D’Silva. At  6. 30 pm, the celebration began with a short introduction followed    by entrance procession led by Sr. Pauline and 2 Novices with lighted candles. The Holy Eucharist was officiated by Rev. Fr. Alex Kalathikattil SDB the Rector of Viswadeep. He was surrounded by six con-celebrants.  During the Homily, Fr. Alex stressed on the faithfulness of God in the lives of His people, the commandments of Love of God and one another and the need to be clothed with God’s compassion. The Eucharist was concluded with a note of gratitude to God and to one another expressed by Sr. Thresia Augustine and Sr. Nirmala Mummudi. Our gratitude goes to God and Mother Provincial for re- opening the Novitiate during the Jubilee year. After mass, during the cutting of the cake, the Novices sang the Felicitation song composed by them “Here’s a home for all in the Sacred Heart of Jesus”. Mother Provincial felicitated Sr. Pauline with a Shawl and the community gifted her with a statue of our Lady. The community rejoiced with her and with all the sisters and novices who passed through this novitiate, for the wonders God and our Blessed Mother accomplished in and through her and through this Novitiate.   May all those who enter the portals of this Novitiate be blessed abundantly.
