“My soul magnifies the Lord ”

Our hearts echo the same hymn of gratitude to God as we celebrated the 60 and 50 years of golden grace in our jubilarians. On August 3rd, on the eve of the Celebration the community of Bannerghatta animated the vigil service thanking God for our jubilarians. Later, our diamond jubilarian Sr Anna Chacko, golden jubilarians Sr Rosy Malayatty, Sr Anna Kutty, Sr Miriam and Sr Aliamma were escorted in a bridal chamber to the felicitation ground in the presence of our Rev. Dear Mother Provincial Sr Lucy Rose and all the animators of the communities. The felicitation program began with the blessings of God through a prayer song followed by the felicitation of the jubilarians by all the community animators of the Province. At the end the jubilarians all expressed their deep feelings of joy and gratitude for the gifts and for the grand Celebration.

On the day of jubilee that is on the 4th August the Celebration began with the Morning Prayer and the arrival of the dear ones of the jubilarians. At 11 am the grand Celebration of the Holy Eucharist began. The celebrants and the jubilarians were welcomed in procession with the gentle steps of the novices. The Holy Eucharist was presided over by Fr Bosco the rector of Kristu Jyothi College. The jubilarians renewed their religious commitment during the Holy Mass with lots of fervor in the presence of their relatives, friends and Sisters.

After the Holy Eucharist all gathered around the jubilarians in front of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to cut the jubilee cake. On behalf of all those who were present the novices raised a joyous chorus of congratulations. It was followed by a special program of the students prepared by the AWC community. Lastly, Sr Rosy Malayatty echoed the sentiments of gratitude that filled the hearts of all our dear jubilarians. The grand Celebration of the jubilee ended with the fraternal meal that was offered to all who joined in happiness of our jubilarians.
